In addition to the standard option order entry through National Financials Wealthscape, through Vanderbilt Financial Group, option orders of size or complex option strategies may be executed through Fidelity’s Capital Markets Options trading desk.
The Sector Department offers a unique investment strategy to Vanderbilt Financial Group’s Advisors exclusively. Sectors of the market are identified by their value, upside potential, competitive yield and beta. Additionally, a strict sell discipline is used both for upside and downside price objectives.

Vanderbilt Financial Group uses Fidelity IWS, Schwab, TD Ameritrade, and National Financial Services for brokerage only Financial Services on a fully-disclosed basis to act as custodian of your securities and cash accounts in addition to executing and clearing trades through the exchange floors as well as ECN’s. In essence, the clearing firms act as our intermediary when providing financial services for all types of private and institutional clients.
National Financial (NFS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fidelity Investments and offers a variety of products including RMA & BSA accounts which feature unlimited check-writing, a Platinum MasterCard and a credit reserve which will loan you up to 50% of the value of marginable securities in your account. All margin loans carry a variable interest rate based upon a tiered schedule which is determined by the size of the margin loan.
In addition to a host of retirement plans, NFS also offers fee-based products allowing you to choose from more than 1,500 load and no-load mutual funds. No matter what products you choose, you’ll receive a combined statement from NFS and a consolidated 1099 statement at the end of the year.
In addition to the standard fixed income order entry through National Financial Services, our Vanderbilt Bond Department team of specialists draws on 60 years of experience and knowledge. They are committed to supporting our Advisors with fixed income strategies appropriate for your clients based upon their financial profile. They serve as our conduit for fixed income information, including CD’s, Treasuries, Agencies, Corporate bonds & Municipal bonds.
In addition to the standard equity order entry through National Financials Wealthscape, Fidelity IWS, Schwab, and TD Ameritrade, Vanderbilt’s equity execution services group has over 50 years of collective equity trading and execution experience and focuses on execution services for all clients. They currently “work” equity and option orders for best execution and provide the highest quality of service which all Vanderbilt Advisors will be able to utilize for their own clients.
